Lost or misplaced passwords for DVR/ NVR?

A few simple steps to reset the password of a DVR or NVR once you have determined if the unit is “in warrantee” or “out of warrantee”.

We will request a photo of the model, serial number and the dynamic password.

 

UNDER WARRANTEE

STEP 1 – Conditions required to confirm the unit is “under warrantee”

  • The unit was purchased directly from Skynatics Security Technology
  • The receipt date or purchase date is less that three (3) years ago

 

STEP 2 – in order to log your request on a unit “under warrantee” this option will not require payment

  • Select the product
  • Click “Add to Cart”
  • Click “View Cart” or “Checkout”
  • TIP: For shipping, click the “Collection 0.00”
  • Proceed to checkout
  • Fill-in your details
  • Select EFT to proceed (no payment will be required)
  • Accept the Terms & Conditions
  • Click “Place Order”
  • FRIENDLY REMINDER: Add the SERIAL NUMBER in the comments block provided

 

OUT OF WARRANTEE

STEP 1 – ONE payment for each RESET PASSWORD request.

  • Select the product
  • Click “Add to Cart”
  • Click “View Cart” or “Checkout”
  • TIP: For shipping, click the “Collection 0.00”
  • Proceed to checkout
  • Fill-in your details
  • Select your payment option either: EFT (proof of payment will be requested) or PayFast
  • Accept the Terms & Conditions
  • Click “Place Order”
  • FRIENDLY REMINDER: Add the SERIAL NUMBER in the comments block provided

 

STEP 2 – We will acknowledge receipt of payment via email.  A photo of your login screen will be requested.  Here is how to acquire it:

  • On the Login screen, click the tab that states “Retrieve Password”
  • WARNING: do NOT close this screen until you enter the dynamic password as it is directly linked to the date and time stamp
  • Select “Dynamic Password”
  • Take a photo or screen shot of the screen reflecting the Device Model, MAC address, Date & Time stamp
  • DO NOT CLOSE this screen until you enter the Dynamic Password.
    • IF YOU DO CLOSE this screen before entering the Dynamic Password this process will have to be repeated.

STEP 3 – The new Reset password will be emailed to you.
